Sending a form may give us your name, your email, a contact number, the address or general area of the home and your own description of what the basement is doing. Those details are used for two purposes only: passing your request to one independent local contractor so that business can get in touch with you, and answering messages you send us.

A request goes to a single contractor, never to a group. The companies that host the site and deliver form messages handle your details only to do those jobs. We do not sell personal information, and we never rent out or swap contact lists. If a law, subpoena or court order demands information, we may hand it over.

A request sent through the form is stored with the site's hosting provider only so it can be passed to one contractor, and it is deleted 90 days after it arrives.

The site may log basic technical information, such as browser type, the pages visited and the page that sent you here, to keep things running. You can block cookies in your browser and still use every page.

Once the contractor has your request, whatever you tell that business is governed by its own privacy rules. The site is meant for adults and does not knowingly gather details from anyone under 13. To find out what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or erased, send a message with the contact form. When this policy is revised, the new text and its effective date will appear here. Maryland law governs this policy.
